| Shepherd’s Cross, Incorporated and Heart of the Shepherd, Incorporated Rules and Regulations Please read carefully before signing waver Shepherd’s Cross is a working farm and all our animals are working animals and therefore not necessarily predictable. To ensure the safety of our guests and our animals we ask you to follow these guidelines: - No petting any animals without permission from a Shepherd’s Cross employee. - Wear close-toed shoes or boots only. - This is partly an outdoor tour. Please dress modestly and appropriately for the weather. - Please come with clean hands and shoes. - Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer after touching the animals, especially before eating. - In order to comply with the USDA’s guidelines for a farm producing food, we cannot allow pets on the grounds. Only Shepherd’s Cross animals are allowed on the premises. - Stay away from the ram pens by the smaller barn, as rams are especially territorial. - No climbing trees, fences, into the tree house, or onto animals. - No alcohol or mind-altering substances of any kind are allowed on the premises. - No smoking. - Do not enter doors or gates without a tour guide’s lead. Stay with your Shepherd! - Children are the responsibility of the adults they came with, not the Shepherd’s Cross staff. Children must be supervised at all times, as the farm affords many opportunities for mischief. - If you must miss your tour, please call in advance to cancel. If you find you are running late for arrival on tour day, please call to let us know. Thank you for being considerate. - Restrooms, water fountains, and hand-washing stations are available on the farm. - The picnic area (seats 25-30) is available upon request; all picnics must be held in this area. If you need additional seating please bring blankets to picnic on the grounds. - The Shepherd’s Shop, which features wool products produced on the farm, Great Shepherd gift items, books, and a small concession, will be open.
