Mission Work to Third World Countries
Most years, the Mr. Peter & Dr. Diane Dickinson and their family take a mission trip to a
third world country.  In 2008, the Dickinsons' travels took them to Buriram Thailand.
While there, they do agricultural education, Christian education, and Veterinary
Medicine.  (Dr. Diane is a licensed veterinarian).  In an effort to assist these
impoverished peoples, they purchase items from the people they work with, and sell them
in the shop.
100% of the proceeds from these sales are returned directly to these
people.  2009 found them in Malawi, Africa & 2010 in Mongolia.  If you want to know more
about these trips simply ask and we will pull out the slide show programs.  2012 Heart of
the Shepherd will be heading back to Mongolia to develop some wool mills.

Heart of the Shepherd's Mission Project
is a special part of Shepherd's Shop

Though we're still small, the goal is to be an outlet for underprivileged people groups.
Thai children craft jewelery to pay for their education; Thai "bar-girls" (exploited and
oppressed) are crafting cards & purses to find a different occupation;  Slum families of
the Philippines create wallets and lunch-bags from colorful recycled food packages.
Anything you buy in this category goes to bettering the lives of the destitute.
