Shepherding Tours
March through September - Full tours by appointment
learning about the sheep and the shepherd, as well as the Great Shepherd Jesus
Christ, and how we are the sheep of the pasture. A portion of the tour includes the
farm museum and the wool mill. The flock at Shepherd's Cross is raised in a
sustainable and Biblical pasture setting. Shepherd's Cross has been raising sheep
for approximately twenty years. Come and learn from the shepherd, about the
sheep and The Shepherd.
- Tours last approximately an hour to an hour and a half and are customized to the
age of the tour group.
- Our tours are PASS-aligned: credited for education requirements. We also provide
take-home materials to group leaders for distribution.
- Tours are scheduled for schools, churches, retirement facilities, home school
groups, family groups, and other organizations. Shepherding tours are appropriate
for groups of all ages and are educationally and Biblically based.
- $3 per person recommended donation for Shepherding Tours
- Shepherding Tours are primarily scheduled on Thursday - Saturday at 10:00 am,
12:00 pm & 2:00 pm, though we can work with your scheduling needs in terms of
days and times.
- Mini Shepherding Tours available Thurs-Sat for drop by visitors from 8:30 - 5:30.
- Enjoy browsing our Made in Oklahoma gift shop - Shepherd's Shop
- Picnic area available before or after your tour; simply request in advance and we will
reserve the tables for you. Picnic area is located in the Bible Garden.
- Call early to schedule a tour - we fill up fast
- For the safety of all participants, we ask that the group leader read and sign our
guidelines and release form. You can download (.pdf format), print, read, sign, and
bring them to your tour or they will be made available to you when you arrive at the
farm.
Bible Garden Tours
March through Fall, by appointment
- Three types of Bible Garden Tours are available:
- Guided Tour with a tour guide
- Self Guided Tour with an audio
- Self Guided Tour wiith a handbook.
- Call to schedule large groups and a tour guide will assist you, or grab a guide book
on your visit to the farm, walk through the Bible Garden and enjoy the word of God
spoken through plants.
- Guided GardenTours last approximately an hour to an hour and a half and are
customized to the age of the tour group. The complete audio tour is approximately
an hour and a half.
- There are currently over 300 varieties of plants in the garden; approximately 100
are referenced in the guide book, on placquards and will be on the tour.
- All ages are welcome! Every tour is individually designed to meet the needs of your
group.
- $3 per person recommended donation for Bible Garden Tours
- Bible Garden Tours primarily scheduled Thursday - Saturday at 10:00 am, 12:00
pm & 2:00 pm, though we can work with your scheduling needs in terms of days and
times.
- Mini or Self Guided Bible Garden Tours available Thurs. -Sat. for drop by visitors
- Enjoy browsing our Made in Oklahoma gift shop Shepherd's Shop
- Picnic area available before or after your tour. Three tables available; reserved for
45 minute intervals
