have expanded to include many aspects of farming, ranching and fiber arts.  Farm Tours are provided by
Heart of the Shepherd, a charitable organization (501-C3) that operates at Shepherd's Cross.

Visitors to the farm may tour on a donation basis.  If you visit the farm and feel that you have had a memorable,
educational or peaceful experience  in your time spent with us, please contribute to Heart of the Shepherd.  This
enables us to  continue providing services in our community and beyond.  100% of donations are used for
missions locally and internationally. Thank you for your support.


  • Suggested donation per tour or per day of touring is $5 per person
   Groups larger than 20 please call to schedule - phone or email

  • Each individual tour will take approximately  1 1/2 hours -  2 hours

  • Combination or General Farm Tours:  A seasonal combination of several tours  for a  
   Combined tour length of 1 1/2 - 2 hours (approximately 15 minutes for each individual section)

  • Recommended Touring Times: 9 AM, 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 NOON, 1 PM, 2 PM, 3 PM, 4 PM  

  • One Free Teacher or Leader for every 10 paid students or participants

  • Our Wagon Ride Trailer has a easy load sloped ramp entrance & wooden bench seats



Bible Garden Tours
Garden visitors walk through approximately one acre of ornamental, vegetable, fruit and herb gardens.  Over 100
varieties of plants int he garden are related to the Bible through placards, tour guides and audio recording.  
Garden tours are fragrant, uplifting, peaceful and educational.  Only a handful of Bible Gardens exist in the world
today.

  • Tours are available year round & are individualized
  • Tours available for the youngest gardener to the most experienced gardener

Shepherding Tours
Learn about the sheep and the shepherd, as well as the Great Shepherd, and how we are the sheep of the
pasture.   A portion of this tour is indoors and includes the farm museum and the wool mill.  The flock at
Shepherd's Cross is raised in a sustainable and Biblical pasture setting, and is Animal Welfare Approved.  
Shepherd's Cross has been raising sheep for nearly three decades.  

1.  Mini- Guided Shepherding Tour - donation based  (suggested $3 per person) - observe flock over the fence

2.  Walking - Guided Shepherding Tour - donation based (suggested $5 per person) - walk in the pasture with
                                  the sheep ( note: an authentic farm with tall grass  & sheep "fertilizer pellets" ) - please schedule
3.  Riding - Guided Shepherding Tour - Wagon Ride in pasture with the flock -  $7 per person - please schedule


  • Shepherding Tours available April 1st - September 1st
  • Tour participants will each have the opportunity to pet the FAB (Farm Animal Barn) Sheep
  • Tours available for the youngest to the eldest
  • Tours for individuals, families, schools, clubs, and charter buses

Living Nativity - Pecan & Black Walnut Festival
2nd and 3rd Weekends of December
- Nativity Manger and farm animal scene with scripture - Biblical dramatic story telling - Little Shepherd -
- Period Demonstrations - Coloring & one take home craft - all included in all our packages

Woolly Weekend Tours
Last Full Weekend of April
Watch as the sheep get their annual hair cut (sheep shearing), and as the wool is made into several finished
shawls the same weekend.  Spinning, weaving, felting, hand dying and knitting demonstrators will bring fiber arts
to life.  Bible Garden Tours and a trip up the Educational Silo to the Farm Museum finish off the day
